Lexus will be bringing an F Sport equipped GS 350 to SEMA this year to show off the full line of sport accessories available for the GS. Lexus is pretty serious about turning the F line into a legitimate factory performance division akin to Mercedes-Benz’ AMG or the BMW M division. With the LFA, the IS-F, the Lexus F Sport division is has already established its legitimacy with factory built sports cars, now with the GS F Sport equipment package, Lexus is trying to move into the performance parts and accessories market.
The 2012 Lexus GS 350 F Sport package includes the choice between two different 19-inch wheels, lowering springs, Bilstein monotube performance shocks, a sway bar kit, front and rear brake upgrades, a performance air intake, a cat-back performance exhaust and a sportier looking shift knob and engine cover. All of these performance and appearance products for the GS 350 and GS 460 can be purchased individually.
Lexus will also be showing off a Lexus GS 350 F Sport model, which is available from a dealership without hitting the parts department, at SEMA this year. The Lexus GS 350 F Sport will come with the 19-inch wheels, upgraded brakes, stiffer suspension and sway bars, as well as an upgraded stability control computer system that allows the rear wheels to turn as well as the front for better handling. The 2012 GS 350 F Sport will also come with unique, more aggressive body styling, according to Autoblog.
