Jeep Liberty
The Jeep Liberty was the first of Jeep's products to offer an independent front suspension, which is geared towards on-road handling and comfort rather than off-road ability. Jeep's Liberty has been very popular due to its car-like road manners coupled with SUV height and all weather capabilities.
The Jeep Liberty was released in 2002 to replace the Cherokee. It was redesigned in 2008 and adopted the boxy styling of the Cherokee. The Liberty is available with just one engine, a 3.7 liter V6 with 210 hp, buyers who want a 4-cylinder engine will have to opt for a Compass or Patriot. Jeep's Quadra-Trac 2 4WD system is standard and provides the Liberty with enough off-road capability to earn Jeep's 'Trail rated' stamp of approval.
The Jeep Liberty has an optional 60 inch by 30 inch Sky Slider roof that offers a convertible-like open air experience with the safety of a fully caged SUV. Automatic temperature control and rain sensing wipers are also available.
