Infiniti G37
The Infiniti G37 coupe and sedan are entry level luxury sports-cars. Competing with the BMW 3-Series, Mercedes-Benz C-class, Audi A4 and Cadillac CTS, The Infiniti G37 is the only Japanese car in the class that focuses on sport-car handling and acceleration like the Germans do. The Infiniti G car first came to America in 2003 as the G35, but had been popular in Japan for many years. Known as the Nissan Skyline in Japan, the G has been around since 1957.
The Infiniti G37 is available in coupe of sedan form. Both body styles use the same VQ37 engine that makes 330-hp. 2009 is the first year that the sedan will get the 3.7 liter engine. It was previously only available with a 3.5 liter version of the V6. The Infiniti G37 is available with either a 6-speed manual transmission or a 7-speed automatic with paddle shifters. The new automatic transmission features rev-matched downshifts for racecar-like acceleration around corners.
The G37 is available in both coupe and sedan form with all-wheel drive. Called the G37x, the all wheel drive version offers all weather handling in an attractive package for buyers who don't want the bulkiness of an SUV.
