The Audi Q7 is a large luxury SUV that competes with the Lexus LX and BMW X5. The Q7 offers a halfway point between the legendary off-road abilities of the LX (more accurately, the legend belongs to the Toyota Land Cruiser, on which the Lexus LX is based) and the on-road only X5. The Audi Q7 is the largest SUV sold by Audi.
The Audi Q7 is available with either a V6 or V8 engine. The V8 makes 350-hp and brings the car 0-60 mph in seven seconds, while the V6 gets 20mpg on the highway. The Audi Q7 has a system that warns drivers if a car is hiding in their blind spot, which is helpful in a gigantic SUV.
The Audi Q7 comes with some serious off-road equipment. Permanent Quattro all-wheel drive, a locking center differential and a height-adjustable air suspension all help the Q7 when the road gets rough. The lack of a low range transfer case keeps the Q7 from being really effective off the road.
