The oldest SUV on the market the Jeep SUV is synonymous with tough and fun driving. Jeep is owned by Chrysler.
The Jeep brand currently produces six models: The Jeep Commander Seven Passenger SUV which comes in 6 different trim lines. The Jeep Compass which is a small SUV/Crossover, and The Jeep Patriot which is a compact SUV.
The larger and more traditional SUV's include the newly redesigned Jeep Liberty. The old standby Jeep Grand Cherokee and Laredo SUV.
But the coolest and oldest Jeep is the Jeep Wrangler Convertible with 4-door and 2-door configurations.

Jeep Grand Cherokee
The Jeep Grand Cherokee was introduced in 1992 as a more upscale, luxurious alternative to the Cherokee. The Grand Cherokee has always competed with the Ford Explorer, Nissan Pathfinder and Chevy Trailblazer, and all the SUVs in that group have become more luxurious over the years.
The newest generation of Grand Cherokee is a departure from Jeep's longstanding tradition of uncompromised off-road ability. This newest Grand Cherokee features an independent front suspension which helps on-road handling but limits the truck off-road.
The Grand Cherokee has enough options to fit exactly what you need. The Jeep Grand Cherokee is available with a 210 hp V6, a 305 hp V8 and a 345hp Hemi V8. A 3.0 liter V6 diesel engine is also available that gets 23 mpg hwy. Laredo, Overland and Limited trim levels are available. Heated leather seats are standard on all Grand Cherokees. Four different 4WD systems are available.
The Jeep Grand Cherokee is also available in SRT-8 form, which completely does away with any off-road capabilities in favor of muscle car performance. The Grand Cherokee SRT-8 features a 6.1 liter version of the Hemi engine that makes 420 hp and propels the truck 0-60 in just 4.6 seconds with a top speed of almost 170 mph.
