Toyota Highlander
The Toyota Highlander is a midsized family SUV designed for on-road use. Toyota first released the Highlander in 2000 as an SUV comparable to the 4Runner in size and comfort but with an emphasis on on-road handling rather than off-road capabilities.
The Toyota Highlander seats seven and gets 23 mpg. The Highlander is available in base, sport and limited models. All three trims levels are available with either front or all-wheel drive. Options on the Toyota Highlander include a rear view camera, touch screen navigation, heated and leather seats and a DVD player for the rear seats.
Toyota will be offering a 4 cylinder engine in the Highlander for customers who want better gas mileage than the V6 offers but don’t want to spend as much as the hybrid costs. The 4 cylinder Highlander will be available in January of 2009.
