Now that the Pontiac brand is no more, shoppers looking for a new Pontiac will only find limited quantities of usually the highest trim models left on dealers' lots. Buyers may find that the only way to get a Pontiac is to buy used.

GM Certified Used Vehicles announced a new incentive this week for GM certified used Pontiac G6 cars through GMAC Financial Services. The incentive gives qualified buyers 3.9% car loans for up to 60 months on 2005 to 2010 certified used G6 models. This is an attractive incentive since most used car loans have interest rates ranging from about 6% to 12%, and usually have higher rates than new car loans.

"This program is designed to provide our customers peace of mind by offering a low, attractive finance rate on one of our most popular vehicles, all backed by our 12-month or 12,000-mile bumper-to-bumper warranty," Paul Pejza, manager of GM Certified Used Vehicles, said.

The Pontiac G6 auto loan incentive runs from Feb. 2 through March 31, Auto Remarketing reports.
